The Department of Public Works is responsible for a wide variety of activities within the Borough including maintenance of streets and roads, maintenance and operation of drainage facilities, sewer collection lines, maintenance and operation of sewer treatment facilities, coordination of environmental activities, and the maintenance of public buildings. The Department of Public Works should be called for questions regarding the recycling center. Please call 973-398- 4200 for the Department of Public Works. All other questions regarding curbside garbage disposal and white metal/metal pick-ups; please call the Utility Department at 973-398-6832.
