New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) is here for you during this challenging time. If you are experiencing financial hardship, our team is here to connect you with vital energy assistance programs to help pay your energy bills.
You even may be eligible for assistance from more than one program. Please contact the agencies or organizations below to find out if you qualify and apply for assistance. We are providing this for your information only, as these programs are not offered or administered by NJNG. Please note each program has its own terms and conditions.
Payment Assistance Gas and Electric (PAGE) is administered statewide through the Affordable Housing Alliance (AHA), and offers a one-time annual grant of up to $1,500 to help pay your energy bills. You may apply online or by e-mailing AHA directly.
NJ SHARES provides a one-time grant up to $700 to help pay for your NJNG bill. Apply online at njshares.org.
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is administered by state- designated community action partnership (CAP) agencies throughout NJNG’s service area. Emergency LIHEAP funds are available through July 31, 2020. In response to the current public health crisis, the CAP agencies have established direct e-mail addresses and phone numbers to promptly assist families struggling to pay their energy bills. You may also call NJ 2-1-1 at 800-510-3102, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
You can find more information about these and other programs, including the Universal Service Fund, Lifeline Credit and the state’s home energy improvement program New Jersey Comfort Partners,

As always, NJNG is here to serve you.
