Mt Arlington residents,
We are blessed that we did not receive the brunt of Hurricane Sandy. We have had some damage but no loss of life or major property damage as happened elsewhere. Our hearts go out to those who lost so much.
Please be patient and understand that the Utilities are working very hard to restore power. I was on a conference call today with Governor Christie and President Obama. They have opened up every avenue to provide assistance. Tree and Line crews are being air lifted in from many other states in order to assist in New Jerseys storm damage.
Please do check the rest of the site to review our messages related to the storm. We have a great team here in town who are taking all measures to ensure we are all safe.
Please remain patient and aware. I also ask that you take time to check on those who need assistance. We are all in this together and we will get through it. We will be stronger and better when it is all said and done.
I am participating in JCPL update calls daily and will provide information as it becomes available. Please do let us know if you have special needs that we might be able to accommodate.
Arthur Ondish, Mayor
