Dear Mount Arlington Borough Residents, If you own a dog or cat, we would like to remind you that January is animal licensing month. To license your animal for calendar year 2023 the rabies certification must be valid through November 1, 2023. If the rabies certification is no longer valid, we will need an updated vaccination certificate from your vet. Please either send the licensing renewal fee along with a self-addressed stamped envelope to Mount Arlington Borough Hall, 419 Howard Blvd., Mount Arlington, NJ 07856 or stop by our office. We have a drop box in the vestibule of Borough Hall for after-hours visits. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 4:30 PM. In addition, Borough Hall will be open until 7:30 PM on the second Thursday of each month and will close at 12:30 PM the following Friday of each month as noted on our website. If you no longer own your pet or have moved out of the Borough, we apologize for any inconvenience. Please call the Borough Hall at 973- 398-6832, Ex. 112 or 125 so we can update our records. The Animal Census is scheduled for 2023. If you are found to have an unlicensed animal in your home, you may be subject to a summons from the Animal Control office. Licensing your animal in January is the best way to avoid this. Regards, |
