As the days grow longer and warmer we spend more time outdoors enjoying nature and keeping fit! If you are spending time outdoors take preventive measures and be aware of the signs and symptoms of Lyme disease.
Lyme disease is an illness caused by infection with the bacteria which is carried by ticks. It is spread to people by the bite of a tick. In New Jersey the most commonly infected tick is the deer tick. Anyone who is bitten by a tick who has the bacteria can become infected.
