Billing
Utility bills are due on:
** All utility due dates have a 30-day grace period after which interest will be charged back to the due date. Post marks are not accepted.
Garbage and Sewer bills are mailed at the end of each year and contain 4 stubs on the bottom for the 4 quarters of the following year. Water bills are based on usage, they are mailed out quarterly.
Delivery of bills
Similar to taxes, failure to receive a utility bill does not relieve the homeowner from paying utilities or delinquent interest.
New Homeowners
When there is a change of ownership, the utility bill is to be forwarded from the previous owner to the new owner. If you are a new homeowner and have not received a tax or utility bill, please contact the tax/utility department.
Change of Mailing Address
Complete the change of address form and return it to the tax/utility department.

IMPORTANT: If you have any problems with your garbage or recycling disposal service, you must contact the Utility Office no later than 10:00am the next day following garbage or recycling pick-up.
CURBSIDE GARBAGE DISPOSAL & RECYCLING INFORMATION
All items for pick-up must be at curbside by 5am of the pick-up day.
*Please be informed, if too many items are placed at curbside, all of your items may not be picked up.
Garbage pick-up is on Mondays. If a major holiday falls on a Monday, garbage pick-up will be on Tuesday. These major holidays are: Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Garbage disposal cans are limited to 3 (three) 32-gallon cans per household. One large bulk item can be placed at curbside on any Monday for pick up with your regular household garbage.
CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS
One container of construction debris can also be placed at curbside on any Monday; this container shall be counted as one of the three containers allowed. Construction debris shall consist of wood, sheetrock, metal lathe, etc. Absolutely no concrete, dirt, rock, or roofing shingles are allowed.
VEGETATIVE WASTE
Vegetative Waste pick-up is provided on a weekly basis, collected curbside every Wednesday beginning April through December. No plastic bags. Vegetative waste (leaves and grass only) may be in a trash can or container no larger than 32 gallons, or biodegradable paper lawn & leaf bags (required by the Morris County Transfer Station). Paper bags may be purchased at Home Depot, Shop-Rite, etc. Twigs, branches and sticks must be bundled and tied up (no wider than 2 feet in diameter & no longer than 4 feet in length) or placed in a disposal can.
METAL
Please call 973-398-6832 Ext.120 before noon on Tuesday for an appointment. Metal is picked up Wednesdays by appointment only. Refrigerators and air conditioners must have Freon Removal Certification. Use of metal container at recycling center, when open, is free. Recycling center does not accept any appliances containing Freon.

Recycling curbside pick-up is on Fridays, all recycling can be placed together in a container provided by Blue Diamond for pickup every Friday (you do not have to separate). Please see what can be recycled under Recycling Center for pick up or Saturday drop off at Mount Arlington Recycling Center.
Please Note: Recycling is mandatory in New Jersey. Please be sure to separate your recycling from your household garbage and recycle on the proper days or bring to the Mount Arlington Recycling Center.
