DPW Laborer, Full Time- Mount Arlington Borough
The Borough of Mount Arlington is accepting applications for Full Time Laborer position in the Department of Public Works. Responsibilities include but are not limited to manual labor, snow plowing, landscaping, road maintenance, equipment operation in all weather conditions and some mandatory overtime. CDL preferred. Automotive mechanic skills are highly desired and a general knowledge of carpentry, electric, plumbing and welding is beneficial. Water and sanitary sewer work experience is desirable but not required. Salary is commensurate with experience. POLICE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT / POLICE MATRON – BOROUGH OF MOUNT ARLINGTON
The Borough of Mount Arlington is accepting applications for a Full Time Administrative Assistant / Police Matron to the Mount Arlington Police Department. The successful applicant must be able to perform clerical, typing, word processing and data entry tasks for the department. The position requires the ability to perform administrative work of moderate difficulty involving the handling of confidential information and other material of a sensitive nature; refer members of the public seeking assistance to the appropriate officer or agency; utilize various office systems; type records, reports, forms and schedules; obtain from and transmit information to the public or members of the police department; perform cashier or messenger duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for answering non-emergency phone calls and walk-in inquiries from the public and directing them to the appropriate officer. The successful applicant will respond to requests for public records in a timely manner, review requested information and redact as necessary. Must be able to coordinate with appropriate personnel to ensure compliance with legal requirements and release records in accordance with applicable regulations. Preference will be given to candidate who possess prior experience with C.A.D/RMS systems, discovery for municipal court proceedings, law enforcement or similar past employment history. The Administrative functions of the position are full time Monday – Friday. The Police Matron function may result in a response to headquarters outside of normal business hours. This is not an all-inclusive description of tasks that may be assigned to this position.
